Hotel in Vientiane by the River

It's my first time to enter this new hotel in the city. It's so nice and beautiful inside and out. The graduation of my grand daughter was held here, and it was a great success. The hotel overlooks the Mekong River and since we are on the second floor it's wonderful to view the beauty of city, you can see how vehicles queue because of the traffic. Yes, after the ceremony we just order cheesecake and leave.

I had a fantastic time at the Amari Hotel in Laos. From the moment I got there, the staff were super friendly, welcoming, and really helpful the whole time I was there. My room was really clean, comfy, and looked great, with awesome views of the Mekong River and Thailand. The location is perfect—right in the middle of everything and only about 10 minutes from the airport, which made things super easy. A big shoutout to the concierge team, especially the Head Concierge, Mr. Kin, who was amazing. He really looked after me, sorted out my transport, and even helped me to my room personally. His service really made my stay special. The check-in staff were also brilliant—super helpful, flexible, and quick. I also want to thank the team at the swimming pool bar and the Sky Lounge; they were all really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a great experience too, with attentive staff. A special thanks to Fueng, who was extra kind, helpful, and always had a warm smile. Thanks to everyone for looking after me so well. I'd totally recommend this hotel and can't wait to stay again. We loved it so much, we ended up cancelling our other hotel to come back. Rooms were super clean and modern. The showers are huge! Bathroom spacious. Location is not too far of a walk from night market and restaurants but enough to get away from loud noise. Our room had a waterfront view. The pool looked amazing although we didn’t swim. The ayce breakfast was worth it with delicious options. And the staff was incredible! From doorman to check in staff and restaurant staff. They accommodated my every need and I’ll be forever grateful for what the staff have done for me when I left my sentimental jewelry in the room 😭

I am truly delighted by the hotel's infrastructure, but even more so by the warmth and professionalism of the staff. A special thank you to Patrick at the reception. He is always incredibly kind and helpful.😊 If I may offer one small piece of honest feedback: some services felt quite overpriced, especially the laundry. I was genuinely surprised by how much I was charged, and it is the only reason I cannot give a perfect score. I hope the hotel might consider reviewing these rates in the future, as it would make the stay even more enjoyable. That said, I would still recommend this hotel for its wonderful team and comfortable setting.

Just checked out today and I wished I cd give this hotel 5 star but I just can’t based on my expectation this aiming to be a five star. Due to a few things: - receptionist and concierge at check in team was not on the level I would have expected it, probably due to my backpacker attire. Hondy, I think was his name, he worked the morning shift on the 1st, and the bell boys outside were great. The concierge (was he thou? No les clefs d’or!) didn’t even know where a post office was or how to send a parcel? Smiles? Nope. - pool area is wonderful but on every sun lounger par one there were dirty towels but the guests no where to be seen. Not sure if it’s a “reserve a sunbed” situation, but other guests that arrived later weren’t lucky in getting a bed, and the staff didn’t seem to care (or had the time). I was there for two hours, no one approached me if I wanted some food or even a drink. There was a function on later that day, so i don’t know if they simply were understaffed? - no free filtered water at the lobby bar - breakfast waiters not enough - I got there early enough but my plates weren’t cleared at all Otherwise: the room assigned was absolutely amazing (thank you again), the bar staff at stellar lovely (thanks cowboy and everyone else), the breakfast filling - minus thou please have name tags for all the dishes, it was hard to figure them out as a vegetarian. Would recommend it regardeless as it looked like a new hotel and the Thai reception manager looked like she knows what she was doing :)
